Homelessness is rising across Canada, and Ontario bears the heaviest toll. Adults, youth, seniors, and children are all affected — driven by unaffordable housing, unemployment, and poverty.
Our Homeless Program has delivered meals and hampers to those in need — bringing not just food, but dignity and hope to communities across the GTHA.

Homelessness is rising across Canada, with Ontario home to 289,000 people facing housing and food insecurity. Adults (60.4%), youth (11.4%), seniors (4%), and children under 16 (4.2%) are affected. Factors like high living costs, unemployment, and poverty drive this crisis, highlighting an urgent need for support to address food and basic needs.
Since 2020, our Feed The Homeless Program has been a crucial support for homeless people in Ontario. Powered by Sai Dham Food Bank’s Help & Feed initiative, this program provides more than food donation—it brings dignity, hope, and connection to those in need. Serving thousands monthly, Feed the Homeless meets nutritional needs across ages and backgrounds, reflecting our commitment to a compassionate, hunger-free world where every individual is valued and cared for.
